Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
The very first game of the series which is a visual novel style main game introduces us to the main protagonist Makoto Naegi who won a lottery and got the chance to enroll in the hope peak academy. the hope peak’s academy consists of students who excel at certain things at the high school level such as ultimate baseball player, ultimate yakuza, ultimate, idol, etc. the academy is considered to be the most prestigious school in the country which take in only those students who have ultimate talents.
Suddenly while entering the academy Makoto gets unconscious and when he wakes up he is surrounded by other ultimate students and all of them don't know why or how they got there. all of them are then greeted with Monokuma the stuffed beat who claims to be the headmaster of the school and tells them they have to participate in the killing game which he has prepared.
Danganronpa: The Animation
The anime adaptation of the game Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc contains the same story as the game but it skips many things and seems to be rushed.it doesn’t show many interactions between the characters that you will get by playing the game. the experience that you will get by playing the game rather than by watching the anime adaptation is very much, that’s the reason it's considered to play the game than to watch the anime. another reason is also that if you watch the anime first then you will get spoiled and will not get much fun in getting to solve the murder cases.
Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
We are introduced to our new main protagonist Hajime Hinata who got the chance to enroll in Into the hope peak’s academy and gets unconscious as soon as he steps into the academy, when he wakes up he is surrounded by other ultimate students. all of them are then greeted by monomi the stuffed female bear who claims to be their teacher and reveals that they are on an island called Jabberwock Island. this may seem the same premise as the first game but the difference is that monomi tells them this is not a killing game but a school trip to deepen their friendship. all the students follow the rules presented by monomi and were enjoying their school trip till they are interrupted by the headmaster Monokuma. who kills monomi and takes control and tells the students that the school trip is over and the killing game begins.
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls
The next game of the series contains the main protagonist Komaru Naegi who is the little sister of Makoto Naegi the main protagonist of the first game. this is a third-person shooter game that is totally different from the usual visual novel perspective, thus it is not usually praised by the fans or recommended by the fans to play. the story contains relatives of the characters of the first game and their interactions with each other. the best thing about this game is that it contains Toko the character from the first game who has grown up and helps komaru and later they become besties.
Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak – Future Arc
After the events of the first danganronpa, the survivors Makoto Naegi,Kyoko Kirigiri,Koi Asahina,Yasuhiro Hagakure go for a meeting with the 12 other future foundation members for the steps to be taken against the remnants of despair but things don’t go well. Monokuma returns and forces them to play one last killing game. the new and the final killing game begins.
Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak – Despair Arc
This arc explains the story of the members of remnants of despair before they became evil and their school life. we get to see the personality and friendship of these characters more deeply and get more information about our favorite characters to form the remnants of despair.
The best way to enjoy the danganronpa V3 series is to watch both the future arc and despair arc side by side, I mean alternating the episodes from each arc.
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony
The latest game of the series, which the fans had been waiting for is back and with many new characters, location, and a whole new killing game. we also meet Monokuma’s kids and our favorite villain Mononkuma. after playing the game you are sure to get pissed off but the fun to play the whole game through is gonna create a memory that you will treasure.
